Then settle on a table size.
Be sure to consider the everyday size of table you would like and then consider the size table you need for special occasions. How many people do you plan to seat at the table on your special days? Your table can be Amish crafted to add as many leaves or extensions as you wish. We have extended 6 foot tables with 22 leaves out to 28 feet… about 30 people seated. We offer drop leaves, loose leaves in 12″, 18″ and 24″ widths, refectory leaves, or butterfly self storing leaves in almost any table shape.
And lastly, or as an extension of the earlier style decision, think about wood specie and stain color.
Our selection of wood species grows every year. From clear oaks, maples, cherry, hickory and walnut to an astounding number of variation, like rustics, spalteds, knottys, wormys and more. Natural beauty comes from the tree. Heavily figured woods or clear straight grains are available. The wood specie chosen can set your table apart.
Then lastly stain color. We have many popular stains and tones that we use repeatedly. Additionally we have the ability to custom match a stain color onto the wood species you prefer either to match existing furniture, or to set your table set off from the rest of the room. You are not stuck with predetermined choices with us.
